Maggie studied at Glasgow University and gained an Honours Degree in English. She went on to teach in numerous schools in Scotland for the next 13 years.

 

Although a self trained artists she has been illustrating children’s books since 1987. They include such titles as Wind in the Willows and Aesop’s Fables aswell as some children’s educational material.

 

In 2000 she joined Glasgow School of Art Continuing Education program which allowed her to take many different classes on a part time basis. She did this for 3 years to gain some of the insights into style and technique of oil painting she is using today.

 

Her work is full of wonderful colours, textures and light and breathes a breath of fresh air into the art world today.
