Lin Pattullo

Born in Glasgow, Lin moved to Ayrshire as a child and went to school in Prestwick. She qualified as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse after training at Seafield Hospital, Ayr. She always maintained a great interest in drawing and sketching and after moving back to Glasgow with her husband, bringing up a daughter and a son; she renewed her enthusiasm by attending part-time day classes at the Glasgow School of Art. She is now one of Scotland’s most successful artists, exhibiting widely, working from her studio and new home in rural Perthshire.

She is renowned for her soft sensuous use of line and colour. She portrays with bold confidence an extensive range of subject matter. She depicts the sizzling heat of Marrakech market scenes, the vitality of Mediterranean street life and the drama of Scottish landscape with equal intensity. Her figurative work also reveals a touching sense of humanity.
