Andy Peutherer is a Contemporary Scottish Artist living and working in Glasgow on Scotland's West Coast.  His landscape paintings are focused around his love for the islands of The Outer Hebrides such as The Isle of Lewis, The Isle of Harris, The Isle of Skye, The Isle of Arran and The West Coast and Highlands of Scotland.  His work is an attempt to capture the dramatic forms of Scotlands mountains, unpredictable weather and light in a unique style that moves away from traditional landscape painting.His stunning vibrant colours and layered textures in his paintings are created by experimenting with a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, acrylic inks, emulsion and spray paint.  Andy uses many techniques to create effects with his paint to portray the sky and land, layering graphic style images over very organic layers.
